Acting Project Manager, Transformational Tools and Technologies Project, Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate
Michael Rogers graduated from Stanford University with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 1986 and has been working at NASA Ames in Silicon Valley. He manages Aeronautics research aimed at enabling greener aviation that is more fuel efficient, produces fewer emissions and produces less noise. NASA Aeronautics is currently working on dramatically new aircraft configurations that could enable these goals and seeking to build X-Planes to demonstrate the effectiveness of these new technologies.
Michael will participate in the NASA Next Technology panel to discuss innovative technologies including ADEPT umbrella heat shield, quantum computing, aviation and more.
