Inker on X-Men for nearly 10 years

Bob Wiacek inked Mike Grell’s work on “The Legion of Super Heroes” issue #220 and Al Milgrom on Marvel Presents issue #7 “The Guardians of the Galaxy.” From that time on, he has inked every major title for Marvel, including “The X-Men,” “Spider-Man,” “Thor,” “Iron Man,” “Captain America,” “Hulk,” “She Hulk,” “Man-Thing,” “Star Wars,” “Silver Surfer,” “Fantastic Four” and many more.

At DC, Bob worked on “Superman,” “Batman,” “Green Lantern,” “Brave and the Bold,” “The Ray,” “Batman Family,” “Justice Society,” “Shazam and Challengers of the Unknown” and other titles. He has also worked with several independent publishers, including Dark Horse, Image, Relium Media, Archie and Valiant (Archer and Armstrong, Bloodshot and Solar).

Within the many companies he worked for, he has collaborated with comic creators including Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, Gene Colan, John and Sal Buscema, Walter Simonson, Frank Miller, Barry Windsor-Smith, George Perez, Jerry Ordway, Paul Smith, Dave Cockrum, John Byrne, Don Heck, Ron Garney, June Brigman, Colleen Doran plus many others.

The books he is most noted for are as follows: “Uncanny X-Men” issue #s 154-164 inking Dave Cockrum and #s 165-175 inking Paul Smith (Issues #172 and 173 were what “The Wolverine” movie was partially based on - Japanese adventure), and issue #171 where Rogue joins the X-Men inking Walter Simonson. He also inked issues #s 176, 178, 180, 214 inking Barry Windsor-Smith and 287. “X-Factor” issue #s 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17-22, 24-31, 33-37 inking Walter Simonson with Marc Silvestri and Sal Buscema. Issues #19 through 26 are partially what the movie “X-Men: Apocalypse” was based on. “Star Wars” issues #16 inking Walter Simonson, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 29, 31 and 96. Bob has inked a number of covers as well. “Iron Man” issue #s 108, 129, 136, 258-270 and 181. This run includes the Armor Wars 2 story line which the movie “Iron Man 2” was partially based on. “Batman” issue #s 286, 287, 288, 495 (KnightFall issue) and 505 (KnightQuest). “Bloodshot #1,” an Iron-Man 2020 project where he co-plotted with Walter Simonson, penciled and inked the book with assistance from Will Rosado.

He has recently inked “All New Wolverine” #10 over Ig Guara’s art and a JLA General Mills comic inking with Rick Leonardi, which will be available in different cereal boxes.

Bob also starred in a commercial with Rap group G-Unit in 2003. He also had a small part in the independent film “Manos - The Rise of Torgo” which he will be doing the poster for.
